2024  Featured Artist
Jesus Escobar

Jesus Escobar - Featured Artist.png

Jesus Escobar, an artist based in Salem, Oregon, has been captivated by the world of painting since the young age of 15. Currently, he is studying at Chemeketa with aspirations to transfer to a university for a major in fine art. Drawing inspiration from a diverse array of artists such as Mondrian, Picasso, Basquiat, and Monet, Escobar's work is a fusion of modern art, cubism, abstract, and non-representational art.

Immersed in the principles of the Bauhaus movement, his artistic style is a reflection of his emotions, imagination, and personal experiences. Escobar's paintings eloquently convey narratives that words often fail to encapsulate. Beyond his personal art endeavors, he generously shares his passion for painting by teaching classes at the Keizer Art Association, inspiring others to explore their creativity and express themselves artistically.
